Legislation

The DFI Legislative Office has responsibility for providing advice and recommendations to DFI management and programs, the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, and the Governor’s Office regarding proposals for legislation to improve DFI’s ability to regulate and supervise its licensees; bills introduced in the state legislature that may impact DFI and/or its licensees; and federal legislation and other issues that may impact DFI and/or its licensees. In addition, the Legislative Office may provide technical assistance to legislative staffers on the effects proposed legislation may have on DFI and/or its licensees.
