DFI Announces the Availability of a Census 2010 Business Resource Guide

The Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) is an official United States Census 2010 partner. Census 2010 partners are government, non-profit, corporate or community organizations that have formally pledged their commitment to share the 2010 Census message and mobilize their constituents in support of the Census Bureau's goal of achieving a complete count. 

DFI is very pleased to announce the availability of a Census 2010 Business Resource Guide. The new guide is an easy-to-use resource and toolkit with easy action steps businesses can take to assist California in getting a more accurate count. This toolkit is intended to provide us with a variety of activities and tools to help raise awareness of Census 2010 and spread the message that participation in the Census is easy, important and safe.
 
Hundreds of government agencies, community organizations and businesses have partnered with the Census 2010 already!

Census data is important for all of us. Census data is important to financial institutions. It is used to determine site location, new branch location, to evaluate new business opportunities, gauge the competition, for market research, etc.

In the Census 2010 Business Resource Guide, you will find "10 easy and low-cost ways your business can participate in Census 2010 outreach," including adding a Census message to your Web site, to customer emails or mailings,  on ATM receipts or on electronic message prompters. Resources are also available for displaying posters and adding logos to materials.

Help California Achieve an Accurate Count! - You can help California by communicating to your employees and customers to fill out and  return their Census form by April 1st.
